Sisters on the Fly (SOTF) take glamping seriously and no one does it better than Mig with her ‘Island Camper’
At least 15 ‘girl campers’ and members of SOTF are convening along the banks of the Salmon River at Swiftwater RV Park in Idaho during the last weekend in April.
The first one to arrive was Mig from Coeur d’Alene. She pulled her cute blue and lime-green ‘Aloha Island Camper‘ into the Park and within an hour was nearly decorated full tilt boogie. Colors! Fantasy! Fun! Fabrics! Creativity! Zowsa!
“Cute Girls and Cute Trailers Camp Here‘ is the sign that adorns the teal floral table cover on our picnic table at one edge of the Island Camper’s patio space. Nothing says it better! It’s a perfect setting with a mild ‘trade wind’ breeze in the late afternoon on the Salmon River in late April, 2013. The Iris are coming into bloom and sway to the breeze.
Sisters on the Fly appreciate outdoor adventure, friends, fun AND vintage trailers. From flowers, to food and wild outdoor style, these women are creative, and love to decorate, fly fish and ‘glamp‘.
What? ‘Glamping’ is a new word for you? Ah….it’s a snap! You guess it: glamorous camping !
All styles of pillows from fluffy to vintage (the one in the middle with the green fringe is apparently from the Hawaiian Islands during World War II) line the comfy bed in the Island Camper. Naturally, that beautiful quilt was made with bright Hawaiian fabrics. Glamping at its best!
I welcome all types of campers – from big rigs to tiny vintage trailers, and tent campers! Y’all are welcome at Swiftwater – a new Good Sam RV Park – along the banks of the Salmon River in north central Idaho. Whether you ‘glamp’ or not, bring your favorite furry friend because, yes….we are a pet-friendly campground!
